Ansley
Black received her dual Batchelor of Arts degrees in English and Art from the
University of Alabama while also conducting independent studies at Oxford University.
After graduating with honors, Ansley participated in more independent studies
in Europe, increasing her verve, zest and inspiration for the fine arts. Upon
returning to the United States, Ansley trained in Naples, Florida with notable
muralists and faux finishers.
Ansley currently lives in Nashville and continues to explore her passion for aesthetics through fine art. Evidence of her background in murals and faux finishes is shown through her ability to capture perspective in: depth of color, subject matter, and demonstrative texture on a large or a small scale.
Ansley
has shown her canvases throughout Nashville, including the Parthenon, Stonebridge
Gallery, Midtown Gallery, The Belle Meade Shoppes, and Full Circle Art Gallery.
She has been the featured artist at the University Club of Nashville, Edgar
Evins Marina, AmSouth Center, and several schools, libraries, and restaurants.
Numerous businesses and private collectors regularly commission her talent.
Selected works from her portfolio are presently being reviewed locally and throughout
the United States.
